Vaippahousuja / Diaper pants

Minut on vallannut säännöllisen epäsäännöllisesti iskevä vaippahousujen neulomisvillitys. Olen viimeisen parin viikon aikana tehnyt kaikki Ruskovillan mallit sekä pari Kestovaippainfosta löytämääni mallia. Vielä on "muutama" malli tehtävänä. Onneksi on kaksi vaipatettavaa! :-) Kestovaipat ovat loistava keksintö, kertiksiä ei meillä tarvita!



I have been hooked on knitted diaper pants (again)... During the past couple of weeks I have made seven pants and I "have to" make a few more still. I', glad I have two sons using diapers... :-) Cloth diapers are so wonderful! We don't need to have "paper-and-plastic"-diapers at all!
Those special yarns for SP:s look so wonderful! I'm so sad it's not possible for me to buy them for myself. I don't have any paypal or anything like this...

Uusi alku,New beginning

Pitkästä aikaa päivitän blogiani. Paljon on tapahtunut, pääkoppani sisällön kanssa on ollut hankaluuksia. Nyt alkaa näkyä valoa tunnelin päässä ja on aika kääntää uusi lehti tässä bloggauksessakin, yritän värkätä enklanninkielisiäkin osuuksia blogiini.
En tässä ehdi kertoa neulejutuistani, mutta kovin paljon ei silläkään rintamalla ole tällä välin tapahtunut. Ensi postauksessa lisää!

Welcome to SP9!

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

I love alla natural fibres, it's so hard to say, which of them is my absolute favourite one. Maybe the warm fibres; wool, alpaca, mohair, angora...

I absolutely don't like "plastic" yarns, 100% acrylic etc.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

I have a bag for long needles, a file for round needles and a fine tube for my hooks (former tube for a perfume). I'm still looking for a perfect pöace for my double point needles.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I have been knitting and crocheting all my life since I was seven. My beloved grandmother did help me enormously lot in the beginning. Now I consider me to be advanced.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

there is none anywhere.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)

Quite many strong scents give me headache in candles, but I love floral scents and everything natural.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

I love sweets, especially chocolate (dark), but everything tastes so sweet in my mouth.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?


I do almost everything whenever I have time. I haven't spinned (yet)...

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)


I like almost every kind of music, from hard rock to classical. "Music for teenagers" (=house, rap, r&b, rap) isn't especially for me.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?

I love red, especially dark. There isn't any colour that I can't stand.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I'm married. I have two sons (2 years 3months and 6 months old ones). We have one cat and 250 hens.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

Yes, all of them.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I knit everything that is beautiful...

13. What are you knitting right now?

Socks and an overall for my nephew.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

Absolutely yes!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

Bamboo or wooden needles in any shape!

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

No...yet...

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

Very old, I'm blushing when I try to remember it...

18. What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas, Christ's birthday!

19. Is there anything that you collect?

Postcards with angels, books, yarn etc. etc. etc.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

I have only Finnish magazines subscriptions, but I love to read foreign magazines whenever I can!

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?

Yes, all special techniques, spinning etc.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

Yes and I'm so happy that I have "normal" foot for a woman, so I don't have to make change in patterns. (Lazy me)
